OMG's Standards: UML CWM XMI

Since 1999, Meta Integration has been supporting and implementing the OMG standards like UML and XMI in all its metadata movement solutions. More precisely XMI is a one of the XML import/export format supported by the Meta Integration® Model Bridge (MIMB) product, and the UML metamodel is integrated within the Meta Integration® Repository (MIR). In 2000, Meta Integration Technology, Inc. joined the Object Management group (OMG) as an influencing member, in order to provide early implementations of these perpetually evolving standards. Since 2001, MITI became a domain member of the OMG focusing on XMI based metadata interchange.

Meta Integration is working on the implementation and support of the UML and CWM standards with other key OMG members: Adaptive, Hyperion, IBM, Oracle, SAS, and Unisys.

OMG's Data Warehousing, CWM and MOF Resource Page
The Common Warehouse Metadata Interchange (CWMI) defines specific META MODELS for object modeling, data modeling, data transformations, data warehousing, etc. The Meta Object Facility (MOF) defines the META META MODEL used by the CWM.

The CWM Forum web site has compiled specifications, documents, presentations and other resources regarding CWM.
