2006, October 1st - OEM Agreement
SchemaLogic signs an OEM agreement with Meta Integration to embed the Meta Integration® Model Bridge (MIMB) technology within its Business Semantics Management solutions, for their metadata import/export and tool integration capabilities.
2004, May 4th - Press Release
|
SchemaLogic customers can import, reconcile and synchronize metadata definitions using OMG and W3C standards, plus popular modeling, database, ETL, OLAP and Business Intelligence software REDMOND, Wash. - May 4, 2004 -- SchemaLogic, a software firm providing enterprise metadata and taxonomy management solutions, and Meta Integration Technology, a leading provider of metadata bridge technology today announced they have formed a technology alliance. Coordinating the way content is organized and tagged (structure and semantics) among heterogeneous systems is a key part of enterprise information architecture. Under the agreement, SchemaLogic customers will be able to utilize over 50 additional adaptors to create a shared, cross-system, "active" metadata repository, which improves interoperability and findability of distributed information. "Our mission is to increase interoperability and findability of information by supporting the synchronization of enterprise metadata,” said Jeff Dirks, president and CEO of SchemaLogic. "By adding the Meta Integration Technology to our existing adaptor framework, we immediately expand the range of systems we can include in the process of enterprise metadata management.” Since metadata, taxonomies and vocabularies describe the keys to virtually all information access, resolving different names, categories, structures and semantics in a shared and visible way improves cross-system retrieval, data quality, business agility and IT efficiency. Meta Integration Model Bridge connects to databases or information models from IBM, Oracle, Sybase, SAS, Business Objects, IBM Rational, Computer Associates, OMG and W3C. “We’ve been impressed with the new perspective and process improvement that SchemaLogic brings to the world of metadata,” said Christian Bremeau, Meta Integration's president and CEO. “Our bridge technology makes it easier to add systems commonly found in the enterprise IT stacks for large companies to the SchemaLogic process of coordination, reconciliation and change management.” SchemaLogic provides a framework for shared metadata based on an active repository, a patent-pending unified information model, collaborative change management with impact analysis, notification and approval, plus the synchronization of approved changes to subscribing systems using XML, SOAP and Web Services. This provides a holistic view of information assets including content, data and XML: who is responsible for each asset, how they're organized (structure and semantics) and the relationships among them. Applications that benefit from enterprise metadata management include:
Information architects, database analysts, content system managers and developers can see and control metadata definitions, taxonomies, hierarchical lists and vocabularies in one repository, available throughout the enterprise. This costs less to manage and effectively drives interoperability, semantic mapping and synchronization processes across the enterprise. ABOUT SCHEMALOGIC, INC. SchemaLogic (www.schemalogic.com) improves how information is organized across the enterprise, using a unified metadata framework, which simplifies information exchange and retrieval across multiple systems. This is achieved using patent-pending software for Enterprise Metadata Management (EMM), which supports reconciliation, mapping, synchronization and governance of cross-system metadata and taxonomies. This improves information sharing and data quality, increases business agility and supports governance - critical to the success or failure of any large enterprise. Unlike the application-specific approaches common today, SchemaLogic combines metadata definitions, taxonomies, schema, vocabularies and reference data from multiple systems (database, content, XML, etc.) within a common model that drives structural and semantic interoperability. SchemaLogic software is used to centrally manage metadata, taxonomies and vocabularies used by multiple applications, including content management, enterprise reporting, portals, federated search, XML schema catalogs, ERP, CRM, SCM, BI, financials or any other system that must reliably exchange information with a different system.
