Meta Integration® Works (MIW) is a complete metadata management solution with sophisticated functionalities such as the Model Browser, the Model Bridges, the Model Comparator, the Model Integrator, and the Model Mapper all integrated around a powerful metadata version & configuration management. MIW is entirely written in Java, and can be connected to a local or centralized metadata repository.
MIW is implemented as a Java application connected (in a LAN or via Internet) to a Meta Integration Repository (MIR) server. MIR is then communicating with a database server (true 3-tier architecture). MIR Java and C++ Software Development Kits (MIRSDK) are also available. MIW has been developed on top of the Java Foundation Classes (JFC) v1.1 (includes the GUI components code-named "Swing"), using the Java 2 Platform.
