Generating information for the Model Mapper

You can use the result of the comparison to generate model mapping information for the model mapper. This information may then be used as the first estimate for the mapper.

Select the menu entry Start Mapper in the Model Comparator menu to generate the model mapping. This will start the Model Mapper and close the Model Comparator. If you want the Model Comparator to remain open after this operation, change the corresponding option in the Model Comparator tab Preferences window.

Configuring the comparator

You can use the preference dialog (select the Preference menu item in the Edit menu of the menu bar) to specify the default settings of the Model Comparator:

• The Filter to be selected by default in the wizard window
• Whether to display the attribute panel inside the Comparator window or not
• Whether to display the Wizard window when starting the tool or not
• Whether to display only the differences between the two models in the result tree or to display all the objects
• Whether to display only the compared objects in the result tree or to display all the objects including the the non compared ones
• Whether to close the Model Comparator when starting the Model Mapper.
