8. Model Integrator

8.1. Overview

The integrator compares one or several source models to a reference model and integrate the various classes (entities) or attributes into a new model. This integrated model will be the composite of the source models.

The tool resolves the conflicts by either duplicating the conflicting objects or by keeping the object in the reference model.

Currently, the filter used to compare the model is the default filter of the Model Comparator.

The tool also displays messages in a log window of the Log Manager about which objects have been duplicated due to conflicts and which ones have not been copied in the new model.

The tool is activated by selecting the "Model Integrator" entry in the main "Tools" menu. You can also click on the button in the toolbar. This will open the Integrator window.
