Model Manager
If you click on a format you may do the following:
- Open... - this will load the format contents (model, model mapping or file) from the server.
If the format is a file format you will be asked to select the path of the file
in which to save the file format locally. Otherwise the model or
model mapping is displayed.
- Set as - Original - this will make this format the original format of the version,
- Set as - Default - this will make this format the default format of the version,
- Cut - allows you to copy the format to the clipboard. The format is moved to
a new location when a Paste is performed,
- Copy - allows you to copy the format to the clipboard,
- Paste - allows you to copy an object from the clipboard to the format. Currently,
this entry is active only if the object in the clipboard is a model,
- Paste Link - allows you to create a link between an object
in the clipboard and the format,
- Delete - deletes the format and all the sub objects attached to the format,
- Rename - allows you to change the name of the format.
This is available only for file formats, and
- Permissions - allows you to change the access
control list to this format.
If you click on a model format you may also do the following:
- Import... - if the model format does not already contain a model,
you can import one using a bridge,
- Export... - export the model associated to this model format
into the format of a specific design tool,
- Compare... - start the Model Comparator
using the selected model as the reference model.
If you click on a mapping format you may also do the following:
- Automap models... - start the Model Comparator
and then mapper using the source and destination models as the models to compare and the default stitching filter,
- Compare models... - start the Model Comparator
using the source and destination models as the models to compare,
- Migrate mapping... - start the Migration Wizard
to migrate another mapping format to this mapping.
