Administration

Overview

The administration environment is used to control access to modeling information and to the tool itself. The MIW environment allows you to create both groups and users to control the access to the objects that are saved to the database. Please note, that this information is not stored in the .mim file format that is used to store models on the local drive.

The Administration tool is composed of the following functionalities.

• Creating users and groups for server access
• Allowing the user to change group during a session
• The creation of access control lists on objects in the system.
• Modification of configuration information.
